About Valencia
With its Mediterranean climate, Valencia is Southern California living at it’s best. Be prepared to be able to enjoy lots of outdoor activities and take advantage of the paseo system which winds its way between neighborhoods. The beautifully maintained neighborhoods, nature walks in fresh air and 60 miles of paseos and trails will relax you on a daily and weekly basis. Most of Valencia is part of a planned community.

Schools
Valencia has some of best private and public schools in the area. In 2016 US News ranked Valencia High #1210 in the National Rankings and earned a silver medal. Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college. Many are 9 and above according to www.greatschools.org.
Dining and Shopping
Central to Valencia Dining and Shopping is the Valencia Town Center Mall. Even more great restaurants are part of the mall and surrounding area. There is something for even the difficult palates.
Nearby is Old Town Newhall. Old Town Newhall is an eclectic shopping, dining and entertainment destination that mixes the rustic charm with cosmopolitan appeal. With boutique shopping, fine and casual dining, and Old West heritage, Old Town Newhall is the place to shop, gather with friends and family, and enjoy a day or night out on the town.
Old Town Newhall is Santa Clarita’s premier arts and entertainment district, home to the Repertory East Playhouse, Canyon Theatre Guild, the William S. Hart Museum and the distinctive Old Town Newhall branch of the Santa Clarita Public Library.
Entertainment
Home to Six Flags Magic Mountain, an amusement park, Valencia. With 19 roller coasters, Six Flags Magic Mountain holds the world record for most roller coasters in an amusement park. In 2015, the park had an estimated 3.1 million visitors ranking it eighteenth in attendance in North America.
Parks and Recreation
Valencia and Santa Clarita is known for its focus on outdoor living. Bridgeport Park, Pacific Crest Park, Chesebrough Park, Northbridge Park, Valencia Heritage Park, Valencia Summit Park.
In Nearby Newhall, Placerita Canyon State Park, a 350-acre wildlife sanctuary located at the Western end of the San Gabriel Mountains, features a natural center and lots of amazing hiking.
But, If you’d rather golf, Valencia is home to multiple golf courses. Tournament Players Club is one of the best course out here. The Tesoro del Valle community in northern Saugus will grow by 820 homes if the county of Los Angeles approves the developer’s new plan. Tesoro was always envisioned to be built in phases. In 1999 the county approved the initial phase of 1,552 homes, but only 1,077 homes were actually built. The property owner intends to go back and build those 475 unbuilt homes, along with 237 homes that were previously approved for later phases.
